T'is the season

T'is the season to be jolly! Why you might ask? Simple, the Minnesota River is frozen over. Meaning it's time to photograph bald eagles! The two spillways along Black Dog Road (BDR) in Burnsville remain open during the winter months allowing eagles to feed along their migration route. Chad and I took our first trip down to BDR this year and counted 8 eagles. While the eagle weren't being photogenic the gulls were. Look for more updates our the next few weeks.

  1. It's the most wonderful time of the year for two reasons, Christmas, and Eagles! I'm spending most of next week down there so hopefully we'll have some good stuff to share!
